At 1:30 PM on September 16, 2021, Mr. Kriangsak Phinthusornsri, the lawyer, brought Mr. Suwan Lorraksa, 34, along with two other victims, young women aged 16 and 18. They are the victims of Pol. Sen. Sgt. Maj. Adisorn Thummato, a squad leader for crime prevention and suppression at Bang Pu Police Station, Samut Prakan, and 6 other accomplices. The group jointly committed extortion, illegal detention, physical assault, and malfeasance in office. The incident took place at the front gate of Wac Van Con Company on July 19, 2021. The group traveled to the Samut Prakan Provincial Police Headquarters to meet with Pol. Col. Mr. Kriangsak Phinthusornsri stated that the incident stems from July 19, 2021, when Pol. Sen. Sgt. Maj. Adisorn, armed with a handgun, barged into the security guard booth in front of Wac Van Con Company, where the victim, Mr. Suwan Lorraksa, 34, was working. Pol. Sen. Sgt. Maj. Adisorn pointed the gun at Mr. Suwan’s head and forced him out of the booth, where 5 of Adisorn’s accomplices were waiting. The group then dragged the victim inside the factory, which is structured like a warehouse, and ganged up to beat him across his body multiple times using paper cores until he collapsed on the floor. Afterward, Pol. Sen. Sgt. Maj. Adisorn reversed a pickup truck into the factory. The group then attempted to drag the victim onto the back of the truck while threatening him by running a finger across his throat, stating they would take him to be buried in Phetchaburi. During that moment, the victim took the opportunity to run out to the factory gate to ask for help from local villagers. However, Pol. Sen. Sgt. Maj. Adisorn and his gang managed to catch him and tried to haul him onto the truck again. At that instance, a good Samaritan rushed in to intervene. Pol. Sen. Sgt. Maj. Adisorn claimed to be a Pathum Thani police officer, prompting the villagers to demand that all the perpetrators show their police IDs, but none did. The villagers then called Khlong Dan Police Station officers to inspect the scene. It was then revealed that Pol. Sen. Sgt. Maj. Later on, Pol. Sen. Sgt. Maj. Adisorn called to threaten the victim and demanded that he act as a drug runner, but the victim refused. Consequently, Pol. Sen. Sgt. Maj. Adisorn and his accomplices went to find the victim’s father and mother, physically assaulted them, pointed a gun at the mother’s head, and extorted 200 baht from them. While Mr. Suwan (the victim) and his parents were being illegally detained, Pol. Sen. Sgt. Maj. Adisorn and his gang continuously beat them for over 10 hours. The victims had already filed complaints at Bang Phli Police Station and Khlong Dan Police Station. However, it appeared that the inquiry officers had not forwarded this specific matter to the disciplinary investigation committee regarding the physical assault, attempted murder, illegal detention, and malfeasance in office. Today, in his capacity as a lawyer, he came to submit a petition for justice, requesting the establishment of a working committee to monitor this case. Because the perpetrator is a police officer committing outrageous acts against citizens and posing a threat to society, there are fears that the victims will not receive justice.
